In a landmark collaboration, FPF and PCP have announced a long-term strategic partnership to standardize and elevate the level of pickleball coaching, wellness, and player development across Asia — beginning with China.
As part of this partnership, PCP becomes the official provider of coaching certification, technical curriculum, and wellness methodology for all FPF facilities. The first city to adopt this rollout will be Guangzhou, where FPF currently operates a growing network of courts and training programs.
“This partnership represents a long-term commitment to quality and consistency,” said Darren Ho, Co-Founder of FPF and Professional Pickleball Athlete. “By integrating PCP’s internationally recognized curriculum and coaching system, we’re ensuring that players of all levels receive a world-class development experience—starting here in Guangzhou, and expanding across China and Asia.”
What the Rollout in China Looks Like
Guangzhou First: FPF Guangzhou will be the pilot city where PCP’s entire coaching framework is introduced—starting with Level 1 certification for local and regional coaches.
Coach Training & Assessments: Coaches will undergo standardized certification under the PCP methodology, with a focus on technical drills, wellness practices, and coaching psychology.
Structured Curriculum for Players: Beginners to advanced players in Guangzhou will have access to a transparent and progressive system, including assessment cards, performance ratings, and development milestones.
Holistic Wellness Programs: PCP’s methodology includes not just technical training but also modules on mental strength, nutrition, recovery, and character development—customized for the Chinese market.
“Our vision is to create coaches who inspire, educate, and lead with integrity,” said Hannah Tan, Head of International Coaching and Curriculum at PCP. “Launching in Guangzhou is an important milestone. This city will become a blueprint for how PCP coaching and wellness programs can scale across the region and impact lives both on and off the court.”
A Regional Movement Begins
This partnership signifies more than a collaboration—it is a movement to professionalize pickleball across Asia, offering both coaches and players a consistent, high-performance pathway guided by values, structure, and expertise.
With Guangzhou as the first of many cities to implement the PCP system, China is set to lead the way in the next generation of pickleball development.
