Singapore, May 2025 — Following its high-profile partnership with BMW in Guangzhou, SHOT3 has once again made waves—this time in its homeland. Teaming up with HSBC Singapore, SHOT3 officially launched the Singapore Badminton Open, a symbolic celebration of Pickleball’s rise from a niche pastime to a nationally recognized sport, shaping culture, community, and legacy by exchanging ideas between Badminton and Pickleball

The event, held in the heart of the city, was more than just a sporting affair. It was a tribute to Singapore's multigenerational sporting spirit, and a pivotal moment for SHOT3 and PCP Asia as they continue their journey up the international Pickleball value chain.

A Nation’s Memory, A Sport’s Future

SHOT3 Co-founder Darren Ho opened the event by reflecting on the significance of the moment:

“Pickleball in Singapore is not just about sport. It’s about how we connect with one another across ages and backgrounds. From childhood to retirement, we’re seeing people pick up a paddle and find community, purpose, and joy. SHOT3 is proud to be Singapore’s ambassador to the world in this space.”

He went on to highlight the role SHOT3 and PCP Asia play in exporting Singaporean innovation, values, and athlete development through the sport—setting new standards for coaching, equipment, and tournament systems globally.

A Voice That Bridged Generations

Ambassador Kok Yoke Kheng, one of SHOT3’s most respected figures, delivered a moving address that spoke to Pickleball’s emotional resonance.

“This sport reminds us of our roots. Of kampung days where games were played on the street, and bonds were built not through screens, but rallies. Pickleball brings that back—and today, we honour our past while building something even more beautiful for the future.”

Her words struck a chord with many attendees, including local athletes, veterans, students, and invited guests from government and community groups. She reminded the audience that legacy isn’t about looking back—it’s about moving forward with respect and purpose.

Singapore as a Global Pickleball Beacon

The Singapore Open, underpinned by this partnership with HSBC, signals a new era. SHOT3 is no longer just a rising star—it is fast becoming the definitive international Pickleball brand born out of Singapore, carrying with it the discipline, multiculturalism, and resilience the nation is known for.

As SHOT3 and PCP Asia expand globally—with sanctioned tournaments, equipment innovation, and athlete certification programs—the Singapore Open stands as a homecoming and a launching pad.
